Re: Ohio's newly-passed "heartbeat" bill:
If you have the governmental power to regulate mass murder you have the governmental power to protect all persons equally, as God and the U.S. Constitution absolutely require.
This bill fails the equal protection test, which means it is immoral and unconstitutional. And, it was passed by a pack of judicial supremacists, who will roll over like a whipped puppy as soon as the courts rule against it, which they will do. This is as certain as the sun coming up tomorrow morning. So all that will be gained in the end is that the Republicans will have justified their "pro-life" existence to their donors, and their naive voters, once again. Rinse, repeat, ad finitum.
This bill is as ill-conceived and arbitrary as Roe vs. Wade.
Like all of the regulatory bills before it, it grants governmental permission to murder babies, all of them, as long as they are murdered on schedule, and by an arbitrary set of man-made rules.
Like all of the regulatory bills before it, it surrenders the only real moral, constitutional, and legal arguments against abortion on demand, which are the intrinsic nature of God-given, unalienable, individual rights, and the Constitution's requirement that all persons be protect equally in their supreme right, the right to live. In other words, while its proponents claim they will "save some," in fact, they once again assure the continued destruction of all.
