"I refuse to listen to the counsels of despair, whether such counsels come from my dearest friend or my fiercest foe. To despair is to sin. Don't give in to the temptation, no matter how strong it might be, no matter your outward circumstance. God Almighty still rules and reigns over the affairs of men. He still cares about a single sparrow that falls to the ground. And He still cares lovingly for you. He has promised to take care of you, has He not? Despair seeks to make a liar out of the One Who is Truth. Reject it, and remember that the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Eternal Father, in Whom Mercy is endless and the treasure of compassion inexhaustible. Look kindle upon us and increase Your Mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we may not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to your Holy Will, which is love and mercy itself Amen.
