I am an abortion abolitionist, in spite of all of those who are compromising the basic principles of abolitionism in the way they do their politics. Why? Because conscience dictates that abortion must be abolished.


I am against socialism, in spite of all of those who also say they're against socialism while supporting every unconstitutional socialist government program under the sun. Why? Because socialism is theft, writ large, and it destroys nations and peoples. I love my children and grandchildren, and I don't want to see them destroyed, economically and politically.

I'm a conservative, in spite of all of those who have made a mockery out of that title. Why? Because the American system of republican, constitutional self-government built on the natural, God-ordained moral law is worth preserving and conserving.

I'm a republican, small "r," in spite of the political party that continues to dishonor that honorable title. Why? Because the American system of republican, constitutional self-government built on the natural, God-ordained moral law is the best form of human government there is in this fallen, sinful world, and it's worth fighting for.

I'm a Christian, in spite of the large percentage of Americans who have taken that label upon themselves while putting the lie to it in the way they act in their civic life.

I'm a Christian, in spite of my own terrible failures to live up to that most honorable of titles. Because, Christianity is all about repentance, and mercy, and grace, and perseverance.

Figure out who you are, and what you stand for, folks. And then stand, without wavering. Otherwise, moral compromise is going to be the death of us all.

Ignore the hypocrites and the liars, and simply resolve to do what is right, no matter what anyone else may or may not do.

Life, Death, and Equal Protection Under the Law are Absolutes

Sixty million innocents have been murdered in this country since 1973 under the color of "law," even though the supreme law of God, and the supreme law of our land, both absolutely require equal protection before the law for every single innocent person.

Both Clinton and Trump have made it absolutely clear that they will do absolutely nothing to prevent the murder of the next sixty million helpless innocents.

That should be all that any Christian in America needs to know to absolutely prevent them from giving one ounce of political support to either of them.

  • "No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law." -- The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution
  • "No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." -- The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution

If you really want to restore representative self-government, there's only one first step to doing that: Start voting for who actually represents you, and the actual obligations of the oath of office, while leaving the results to God.

You cannot plumb the depths, or scale the heights, of the glory and power and knowledge and wisdom contained in God's Word. But in diligently seeking to do so, you will be transformed, from glory to glory, into the image and likeness of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself over to the tormentors out of love for His Father and for you, and rose from the grave to show heaven and earth that you, in His sight, stand justified.

I do politics every day, and some criticize me for posting things like I just posted above. They think I'm foolish for doing so. It's just not "politic," you know?

But, as Jim Elliott famously said:
“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain that which he cannot lose!”
The Gospel comes first. If we obey God's Word, and follow Christ in truth, our politics will be straightened out, quite naturally.

But if we as a people, and as a church, continue to thumb our nose at God, the moral foundations of the American Republic will be, finally and completely, gone. And the spiritual, moral, and physical wreck of America that follows will be one of the most frightful tragedies in human history. The city set on a hill will have finally been brought down to the agonies of a hell on earth. And the whole world will suffer greatly for that fall as well.

In this age, there can be no substitute for Christianity... That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants."

I recommend a general and public return of praise and thanksgiving to Him from whose goodness these blessings descend. The most effectual means of securing the continuance of our civil and religious liberties is always to remember with reverence and gratitude the source from which they flow.

The Bible is the best of all books, for it is the word of God and teaches us the way to be happy in this world and in the next. Continue therefore to read it and to regulate your life by its precepts.

A political plea to American Christians

It's time for people to grow up, and put aside as trivial any remaining racial, ethnic, or class differences. All this divide-and-conquer, crypto-racist, political hack-talk about "demographics"? Ignore it. We're all Americans. We're one nation, under God. (As per Galatians 3:28.)

Put aside denominational squabbling and the politics of personality. (Read I Corinthians 1:10-13.)

Put aside regional and party factionalism. It's dangerous and destructive to the bulwarks of American liberty. (Read George Washington's Farewell Address.)

Foreswear reliance on the money and media interests. We know from decades of experience that they are anathema to government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Instead, BE THE MEDIA, and consistently focus public attention on the self-evident truths of the nation's founding, in whatever forums you can:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..." (The Declaration of Independence)
Now there's something that matters. So much so, that it is not hyperbole to say that the fate of the American republic hinges on our return to the principles espoused in that one paragraph.

Hear the words of Abraham Lincoln:
"Now, my countrymen, if you have been taught doctrines conflicting with the great landmarks of the Declaration of Independence; if you have listened to suggestions which would take away from its grandeur and mutilate the fair symmetry of its proportions; if you have been inclined to believe that all men are not created equal in those inalienable rights enumerated by our chart of liberty, let me entreat you to come back. Return to the fountain whose waters spring close by the blood of the Revolution. Think nothing of me — take no thought for the political fate of any man whomsoever — but come back to the truths that are in the Declaration of Independence. You may do anything with me you choose, if you will but heed these sacred principles. You may not only defeat me for the Senate, but you may take me and put me to death. While pretending no indifference to earthly honors, I do claim to be actuated in this contest by something higher than an anxiety for office. I charge you to drop every paltry and insignificant thought for any man's success. It is nothing; I am nothing; Judge Douglas is nothing. But do not destroy that immortal emblem of Humanity — the Declaration of American Independence."
And Frederick Douglass:
"[T]he Declaration of Independence is the RINGBOLT to the chain of your nation's destiny...The principles contained in that instrument are saving principles. Stand by those principles, be true to them on all occasions, in. all places, against all foes, and at whatever cost. From the round top of your ship of state, dark and threatening clouds may be seen. Heavy billows, like mountains in the distance, disclose to the leeward huge forms of flinty rocks! That bolt drawn, that chain, broken, and all is lost. Cling...to its principles, with the grasp of a storm-tossed mariner to a spar at midnight. "
Please, from now on, make this the plumb line of your political thought and action, without compromise.

Then join yourself to other patriots who have made the same resolve.

It's the only way back. It's the only way that we will fulfill the ultimate stated purpose of our Constitution:
"To secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity."

To put it in the simplest terms: Do it for yourself, and for your kids and your grandkids.

And, remember what the father of the American Revolution, Samuel Adams, said:
"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."

America is largely a Christian nation with 77 percent of adults identifying themselves as Christian, according to a Gallup survey, while only 0.6 percent identified as Muslim. The survey also found that Mormons were the most religious in practicing their faith. … 

When asked, “Is religion important in your daily life?” Mormons ranked highest with 87 percent saying “yes.” Protestants followed with 79 percent saying “yes,” and then Muslims, 78 percent “yes,” and Catholics, 70 percent “yes.” Only 41 percent of Jews said that religion was important in their daily life. …

President George Washington was born on this date in 1732

George Washington was born FEBRUARY 22, 1732.

He was unanimously chosen as the Army's Commander-in-Chief, unanimously chosen as President of the Constitutional Convention, and unanimously chosen as the first U.S. President.

After having the Declaration of Independence read to his troops, General Washington ordered chaplains placed in each regiment, stating:

"The General hopes and trusts, that every officer and man, will endeavour so to live, and act, as becomes a Christian Soldier, defending the dearest Rights and Liberties of his country."

General Washington stated at Valley Forge, May 2, 1778:

"To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest Glory to laud the more distinguished Character of Christian."

To the Delaware Indian Chiefs who brought three youths to be trained in American schools, General Washington stated, May 12, 1779:

"You do well to wish to learn our arts and ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ."

As recorded in The Writings of George Washington (March 10, 1778, 11:83-84, U.S. Government Printing Office, 1934), record George Washington's order:

"At a General Court Marshall whereof Colo. Tupper was President...Lieutt. Enslin of Colo. Malcom's Regiment tried for attempting to commit sodomy, with John Monhort a soldier;

Secondly, For Perjury in swearing to false Accounts, found guilty of the charges exhibited against him, being breaches of 5th. Article 18th Section of the Articles of War and do sentence him to be dismiss'd the service with Infamy.

His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief approves the sentence and with Abhorrence and Detestation of such Infamous Crimes orders Liett. Enslin to be drummed out of Camp tomorrow morning by all the Drummers and Fifers in the Army never to return."

In his Farewell Address, 1796, Washington stated:

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports.

In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great Pillars of human happiness."

"Just as 'good fences make for good neighbors,' good government is mainly about knowing where the legitimate boundaries are, and having the courage to defend those borders forcefully. This is true in terms of the defense of our territory, our security, and our national sovereignty, but it also applies to the sworn duty of all of those in government to equally protect the God-given, unalienable rights of each individual person, from their creation onward, their sacred obligation to stay well within the enumerated powers of our constitutions, and of the role legitimate government must play in balancing the competing rights and interests of the people, in order to establish justice."
