The Greatest Threat to the Existence of our Republic

We are all CREATED equal by God at the moment of our conception. This is self-evident. At that precise moment of time God has declared His divine intent, which is to bring a unique individual human person, made in His image and likeness, into physical existence. From that moment onward, until natural death, His command, "you shall not murder," fully applies.

Our national creed, as expressed so well in our national charter, the instrument that brought this nation into existence, perfectly conforms to this understanding:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are CREATED equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men..."

The U.S. Constitution, the supreme law of our land, in its wording, has also always fully conformed to God's stated intent in this matter. In that great document's original statement of purpose, it was made crystal clear that all were to be protected in their God-given rights, including those persons who were not yet born, or even as yet conceived, i.e. posterity.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union (that is the union of ALL), establish Justice (that is justice for ALL), insure domestic Tranquility (that is peace and tranquility for ALL), provide for the common defense (that is the defense of ALL), promote the general Welfare (that is the welfare or well-being of ALL), and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves (that is ALL of us who are now living) and our Posterity (that is ALL who are yet unborn or unconceived), do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

The first round of amendments to the Constitution, which we call the Bill of Rights, in its wording conformed fully to God's will and command as well, specifically in the Fifth Amendment, in which it was made explicit that no innocent person could - at least legally, legitimately - be stripped of their God-given, unalienable right to live.

In the wake of the terrible civil war which nearly tore our national union apart - a war that was fought, whether everybody wants to face that fact or not, over the intrinsic rights of persons, and the intrinsic obligations of states to respect the intrinsic rights of all persons - the Fourteenth Amendment was debated, passed, and ratified. This amendment not only reiterated the protection for every person which was already required by the Fifth Amendment, it also made quite explicit the absolute obligation each of the states has to provide equal protection for the right to life of every human person within their jurisdictional bounds.

"No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

All fifty of our state constitutions not only acknowledge God as the Provider of all of the blessings of our liberty, they recognize the unalienable rights of all persons, and require equal protection for those rights, beginning with the right to live.

My state's constitution:

"WE THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF IOWA, grateful to the Supreme Being for the blessings hitherto enjoyed, and feeling our dependence on Him for a continuation of those blessings, do ordain and establish a free and independent government, by the name of the State of Iowa...All men are, by nature, free and equal, and have certain inalienable rights - among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property, and pursuing and obtaining safety and happiness."

By far the greatest threat to the existence of our republic came from those who would dehumanize, depersonify, some portion of humanity, and strip them of all of their rights. The ultimate destruction and demise of many great nations throughout history can be traced to the injustices brought about by the abject failure to recognize and respect the God-given rights of all.

The dehumanization, the depersonification, of any portion of humanity can only lead, inexorably, to hell on earth.

If all are not equal before the law, the rights of none are any longer secure.
Do you see your precious rights as an American slipping away, one by one?

Do you see your country slowly but steadily being destroyed around you?
You would have to be willfully blind not to see it.

Do you care enough about your children and grandchildren, your posterity, to do what it takes to save this great republic for them, as our forebears fought to save it for us?

Then you must do whatever it takes to reestablish respect, in principle and in practice, for the supreme right of the unborn child, the God-given, intrinsic, unalienable right to live.

Before it is too late.

The fear of God is the missing ingredient in our politics today - on the part of the people themselves, and on the part of those they elect to public office who are required to take the oath.

Our system presupposes a just and perfect judgment on our words and actions in the hereafter, as the mainstay against abuses and usurpations in the civic here and now.

Without that healthy dread in our hearts and minds, and in the hearts and minds of our chosen representatives, the whole edifice of constitutional republicanism falls apart.

To truly understand the essence of the concept of UNALIENABLE rights, and therefore to truly understand the essence of the American republic and our national claim to self-government in liberty, you have to first understand that you are entitled to absolutely NOTHING that God hasn't given you title to, and that even if God gives you title to something, it's only as a tenant.


As the Sovereign, eternal, absolute Owner of everything, He can repossess anything He's lent you - including your very life itself - whenever and however He pleases, while remaining perfectly righteous, holy, and just in doing so.

But, as long as you are His lawful tenant, living within His legitimate grant of tenancy, no other man can rightfully, legitimately, lawfully, strip you of God's generous gifts, which include your right to live, your right to live freely, and your right to own and possess private property -- all, of course, within the natural moral limits posed by the legitimate exercise of the rights of others.

In summary, legitimate human government exists to protect your legitimate God-given rights, and the legitimate rights of everyone else, while acting as a punisher of evil, and an adjudicator of conflicts that may arise between your exercise of rights and the exercise by others of their rights.

Human governments that violate God-given rights, or fail to resist evil, or that act unrighteously or unjustly, only delegitimize and destroy themselves. They don't, they can't, change the natural law as created and instituted by God.

This, my friends, is the first principle, the cornerstone principle, of our country. If this understanding is not soon fully restored in the hearts, minds, and political and governmental practices of America, this building cannot long stand. Our national destruction is inevitable. Our fall may come by degrees, or it may come all of a sudden. Only the omniscient, omnipotent Creator of us all knows that. But you can be sure, it WILL come. The laws of nature and nature's God will not be mocked nor ignored for long.

I wrote the following in response to an Orange County Register piece that was posted at FreeRepublic.com, and it bears repeating here:

Not a single sitting justice of the Supreme Court recognizes the personhood of the child in the womb and their protection by the explicit, imperative requirements of the Fifth and the Fourteenth Amendments.

"No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law." "No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Not even one of the majority of the justices who were picked by Republican presidents, members of a party whose platform HAS recognized the personhood of the chld and their protection by our Constitution for the last 28 years.

So, what do you think are the chances that a "president Romney" (it makes me sick just typing that) would pick a judge who is more conservative than Thomas or Scalia?

I say the chances of that are for all intents and purposes ZERO.

Especially since Mitt Romney himself is a pro-choice democrat. He thinks God-given rights can be decided by a majority vote.

He thinks courts make our laws, and that only they get to decide what is constitutional. In other words, he supports the abortion on demand status quo, the destruction of the checks and balances that make our form of government possible, and the erasure of the legitimate lines of authority granted to the various branches and departments of our government.

He thinks states can alienate unalienable rights if they want. A Stephen A. Douglas Democrat position if there ever was one.

In other words, even in this shape-shifter’s current incarnation, his views are anti-republican.

No matter how you cut it, Obama or Romney, all the babies continue to die, and so does the republic whose founding premise was the equal protection of the rights of all.

‘Your God’s wrong!’: Judge erupts in angry tirade, sends pro-life activist back to jail

An Ontario Court of Justice judge erupted in a lengthy, angry tirade against pro-life activist Mary Wagner – and ejected a spectator from the public gallery – in a downtown Toronto courtroom Wednesday. The judge then sent Wagner to jail for an additional 92 days, added to 88 days already served prior to trial, after finding her guilty of mischief and two counts of failing to comply with probation orders.

The charges related to Wagner’s November 8 arrest at the site of the Bloor West Village “Women’s Clinic.” Wagner has been arrested on several occasions for peacefully entering abortion facilities in Toronto, where she presents women in the waiting room with a rose and offers them pro-life counseling. 

The remarkable scene played itself out after Crown attorney Derek Ishak and defense counsel Russell Browne made a joint submission to Mr. Justice S. Ford Clements for time served plus a three-year probationary term. But Clements emphatically rejected the submission.

“She can sit in jail, if that’s the only way to protect people,” he fulminated, calling Wagner “cowardly” for “abusing other human beings” and not having the courage to make her views known through other channels. “This is an extraordinary waste of resources. Get a grip!”

“You don’t get it, do you? What’s the rule of law? You’re required to abide by it … You’ve lost the right as a citizen to be anywhere near an abortion clinic or to speak to an employee,” he said.

“You’re wrong and your God’s wrong,” he continued. “You have complete contempt … There is a right to (abortion) in this country … You don’t have a right to cause (abortion-seeking women) extra pain and grief the way you do.”

“[Abortion] is legal,” he continued, “that’s all you have to understand … You start causing people emotional pain and harm, you think that’s okay?”

He then asked Wagner whether she would stay away from abortion sites for three years as required by the proposed terms of probation.

“I will not,” Wagner replied firmly.

“Then you’re going to jail,” said Clements.

"Just as 'good fences make for good neighbors,' good government is mainly about knowing where the legitimate boundaries are, and having the courage to defend those borders forcefully. This is true in terms of the defense of our territory, our security, and our national sovereignty, but it also applies to the sworn duty of all of those in government to equally protect the God-given, unalienable rights of each individual person, from their creation onward, their sacred obligation to stay well within the enumerated powers of our constitutions, and of the role legitimate government must play in balancing the competing rights and interests of the people, in order to establish justice."
