Tom Hoefling America's Party 2016 presidential nomination acceptance speech, delivered August 27th, 2016

Thank you all very much.

I am deeply honored and grateful to receive the presidential nomination of America’s Party once again, mainly because I believe that America’s Party people are the best people in America. You are truly the salt of the earth. One of the greatest blessings of my life has been my association with you all.

America’s Party represents a new hope for the restoration of the American republic, this great free constitutional republic which was gifted to us by the grace of Almighty God, and by the wisdom, commitment, and self-sacrifice of our forebears.

Those brave forebears laid their lives and their fortunes on the line for life and liberty, and refused to, in groveling fear, sacrifice their sacred honor, or the future of their children, on the altar of any earthly king or tyrant.

May all of us in this party continue to strive to follow their example.

My friends, you are a part of something unique, and very special, and essential. America’s Party represents a new hope for a renewed sense of our obligations as a people to God, to self-evident truth, to moral principle, and to duties of the oath of public office, at all levels of government, and in every branch of government.

America’s Party represents a new hope for our children and grandchildren, that they too might have the chance we had to enjoy the Blessings of Liberty that we have enjoyed throughout our lives.

I truly believe that America’s Party - or rather the principles and the people that it represents - provides the only real political hope for the American republic, and for our Posterity.

We live in a time when a real sense of national decay, of moral degradation, and even of fear and despair, has gripped many hearts all across this land. There is a consensus developing in the country that the existing political parties, the political elites who are now in power, have betrayed us.

An ever-increasing number of our fellow citizens are coming to understand that this betrayal, is, before anything else, a betrayal of the One Who created us, a betrayal of the self-evident truths of our national founding, a betrayal of our national principles which are deeply grounded in the laws of nature and nature’s God, and a heinous betrayal of our Constitution, which is still, to this hour, the supreme law of our land.

More and more Americans are realizing that, to have any real hope for the future, we must humbly return, with a repentant heart, both individually and as a people, to our historic faith in the God of the Bible.

More and more Americans are realizing that we must return to our understanding that both God and our Constitution absolutely require equal protection for the unalienable rights of all persons, including the rights of those helpless, defenseless, innocent persons who are as yet unborn.

They are remembering that government, in fact, exists, before anything else, to protect our rights.

Do not despise the day of small things! We are standing on the side of the truth! We are standing on the side of moral right! We are standing on the side of God and nature!

Those who are fighting God and nature in this country, who ignore the simple child-like understanding of simple right and wrong, and who continue to ignore our Constitution’s stated purposes and requirements, may appear strong, But they are not. They are weak. They cannot succeed, not over the long haul. They may prevail for a short time, but the end of their chosen path is, inevitably, destruction.

America, stop following them!

No matter how it may temporarily look to worldly eyes, do not believe that we are weak! Don’t believe it for a moment! We are not! We are strong beyond compare. Why? Because, like the generations of Americans who came before us, we have faith. Because we, like them, hold to self-evident truth. Because, unlike those who continue to abjectly follow the godless “lesser-of-evils,” lowest-common-denominator, political philosophy of the Democrat and the Republican parties, we are on the side of simple right, and on the side of the God-given rights of the people, and on the side of the Constitution.

Yes, we are offering America a return to principle, which is essential. But that’s not all we are offering. We are also offering the practical means for putting our nation back on the right path.

We are offering a restoration of our political process, which has also been co-opted, and corrupted, in our day. We are showing the American people exactly how to take our politics back from the money interests, back from the corporate media, and to restore government of the people, by the people, and for the people, not just in nice political rhetoric, but in actual fact.

America, it’s time to abandon the corrupt existing parties. Throw them on the ash heap of history, where they belong.

Join us in stopping the abortion holocaust in this country, before the judgment of God falls our our heads.

Join us in protecting marriage and the natural family, the way God created, defined, and instituted it.

Join us in protecting our right to keep and bear arms.

Join us in securing our national sovereignty, our national security, and our national borders.

Join us in putting government back inside the constitutional box where it belongs.

Join us in restoring respect in government for the Enumerated Powers of our Constitution.

Join us in replacing the federal income tax with a fair and simple alternative that doesn’t destroy our liberty and our chance at material prosperity.

Join us in restoring our monetary system, in ending the Federal Reserve, and in taking the power over our money back into our own hands.

Join us in restoring parental rights and True Local Control of our schools.

And, last but certainly not least, join us in restoring checks and balances in government. Help us restrain these judges who wrongly believe they are our rulers, who ignore the laws of God, the laws of nature, and the explicit, imperative requirements of the Constitution they swore to uphold.

If you truly care about restoring moral, constitutional, representative self-government, I ask you for your vote on November 8th. If you don’t see my name on your ballot, shock the political world by writing it in.

If I truly represent you and what you believe, don’t be bullied into voting for someone who does not represent you.

Again, our forefathers fought, and sacrificed, and bled, and some even died, to give you the precious gift of representative self-government. Stop letting them swindle you, and your posterity, out of that precious gift.

Thank you, and may God bless America, as we once again bless Him.

Tom Hoefling:  The only starting point for ending the abortion holocaust in America

8/23/2016

Tom Hoefling

Hold all proposed "pro-life" legislation and public policy up to the light of "You shall not murder," and ""No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law," and "No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

If the proposed legislation or public policy fails the equal protection test, which is absolutely demanded without exception by God and the U.S. Constitution, reject it.

If a candidate for public office, any public office, does not understand the absolute requirement by God and the U.S. Constitution that the equal rights of all persons be protected, reject their candidacy. They can't possibly keep the most important obligations of their sacred oath.

As our national charter, the Declaration of Independence, boldly, correctly, asserts, the protection of our God-given, unalienable, individual rights, starting with the supreme right, the right to live, is the very raison d'etre, or reason for being, of all legitimate human government.

This understanding, especially by those who call themselves Christians in America, is the starting point for ending the abortion holocaust in America once and for all.

There is no other starting point.

By the way, it must be noted that none of my opponents for the presidency on November 8th have demonstrated a thorough understanding of, and commitment to, the crucial things I've said here today.

Tom's Hoefling's words: "Just as 'good fences make for good neighbors,' good government is mainly about knowing where the legitimate boundaries are, and having the courage to defend those borders forcefully. This is true in terms of the defense of our territory, our security, and our national sovereignty, but it also applies to the sworn duty of all of those in government to equally protect the God-given, unalienable rights of each individual person, from their creation onward, their sacred obligation to stay well within the enumerated powers of our constitutions, and of the role legitimate government must play in balancing the competing rights and interests of the people, in order to establish justice."

Gospel Points

This week we are joined by Tom Hoefling as we continue our look into the 2016 presidential race. Mr. Hoefling is the America’s Party candidate and on the ballot in several key states. While the scope of our interview runs the gamut of different issues, it’s clear that this candidate’s passion is to defend the rights of the unborn. This is not merely a political issue in his mind. So, in this first segment we focus on the issue of abortion and the fight to uphold life. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this episode. Tom’s heart for this is inspirational and hopefully contagious.

"Tom, you represent me in all things that matter most, morally, so much more than any other candidate! I know where you stand on all the major moral issues. You stand in the same place as me. It is the place that takes priority over some of my own present needs. I do have needs that would be met by social programs more in line with democratic candidates, BUT where does my help come from as a believer? Not from government, but from GOD! ( Psalm 20:7, and many others about God's providence) I 100% believe in voting for you because you are in line with what is Biblical. God will honor and bless that in my life and the lives of others, despite government programs. I'd give up any benefits from government I could to have abortion banned, to have the right to own guns protected, to maintain marriage as a sacred union of God between one man and one woman. I am praying for you and all Christian voters--even the ones who might possibly risk losing government programs they currently benefit from. God is completely able to sustain us and care for our needs! God bless you!"

Tom Hoefling: We must push the rudder over hard to starboard, within four years

Tom Hoefling

I'm absolutely certain that we have no more than eight years to turn the ship of American state completely around, before economic destruction comes upon us. And I believe that we have four years or less to push the rudder over hard to starboard.

We already know without any doubt that neither Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump have any intention whatsoever of doing that. Like all statists, they truly believe that their job is to "take care of you." "Sorry conservatives," to quote Donald Trump. "Full speed ahead!"

In this general election, nobody else is telling you these things but me.
You have a choice. You can get mad at me for telling you the truth, and walk away, back to the politicians who keep whispering sweet nothings in your political ear, or you can listen, and resolve to help me with the rudder.

It's up to you.

But don't say nobody warned you.

U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf:
"According to the Congressional Budget Office’s long-term estimate, every penny of the federal budget will go to interest on the debt and entitlement spending by 2025, That means no money for national defense. No money for homeland security. No money to fix the nation’s crumbling bridges and roads...,"

Tom Hoefling: "If I was just another run-of-the-mill politician..."

Tom Hoefling

If I was just another run-of-the-mill politician I would tell you that the law is whatever we want it to be.

If I was just another run-of-the-mill politician I would tell you that it's just fine to keep trying to regulate the mass murder that's taking place every day in the nation's abortion "clinics."

If I was just another run-of-the-mill politician I would tell you that marriage is whatever we decide that it is, and that judges get to make our laws, set our public policies, change the simple meanings of words, pretend that "up" is down, and "down" is up, and completely ignore the supreme law of our land, the Constitution of the United States.

If I was just another run-of-the-mill politician I would, for my own political aggrandizement, completely ignore the fact that within a decade the unconstitutional socialist Ponzi schemes of the New Deal and the Great Society, and the interest on the debts run up by a generation of corrupt politicians, are going to consume the entire federal budget, with nothing left over for anything else.

But I'm not just another run-of-the-mill politician.

The law - to be true law, to be just law - must be premised in the laws of nature and nature's God.

The abortion holocaust must come to an end. Equal protection for all must be reestablished.

Marriage is what marriage is, exactly the way God created, defined, and instituted it.

Judges are not our rulers.

If we don't immediately deal like sober adults with the things I've listed above, and with the out-of-control unconstitutional spending of those we elect, within a decade it will be too late to stop the inevitable destruction that is coming.

This is stark reality.

U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf:
"According to the Congressional Budget Office’s long-term estimate, every penny of the federal budget will go to interest on the debt and entitlement spending by 2025, That means no money for national defense. No money for homeland security. No money to fix the nation’s crumbling bridges and roads...,"

Tom Hoefling: "I'm seeking a mandate for things that money just can't buy"

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden."  -- Matthew 5:14
Tom Hoefling

Some people, particularly political people, just can't understand the way I'm running this campaign.

No money?

What?

Are you nuts?

No, I'm not.

What they don't understand is that I'm trying to remind the people of this country of their own intrinsic power.

I'm trying to show them how to take their power back into their own hands.

I'm trying to convince them that they do not have to rely on the money or the media interests, not in the age of instant communications at our fingertips.

I'm trying to show them that if they decide to go the right way, all the money and all the media in the whole wide world won't be able to stop them.

This old-fashioned front porch campaign, just exactly the way it is constructed, is the perfect antidote to Trump and Clinton and their oceans of corrupt money.

What people need to realize is that I'm seeking a mandate from We the People for things that money just can't buy.

I'm seeking a mandate for national repentance.

I'm seeking a mandate to end the national shame of abortion on demand.

I'm seeking a mandate to restore and protect the civil institution of marriage.

I'm seeking a mandate to restore our right to keep and bear arms, our national sovereignty, our national security, and our national borders.

I'm seeking a mandate to rein in usurping, out-of-control, immoral judges.

I'm seeking a mandate for a speedy end to the socialism that has been allowed to overcome our constitutional form of limited government, and an end to the debt spending that is robbing our children and grandchildren of their God-given right to government by consent.

Ultimately, I'm seeking a mandate to fulfill the supreme stated purpose of our precious Constitution: To secure the Blessings of Liberty to our Posterity.

Of course, in my own power, this is all impossible. But it is not impossible for God. And it is not impossible for the American people once they are reminded of their own sovereign power, under the Sovereign God.

If you do this, we will have an indisputable mandate to set the country back on its right foundations, and to make it once again, truly, the shining city set on a hill that it was meant to be.

From the desk of Tom Hoefling

An important email message I received from a supporter, followed by my full response:

Mr. Hoefling,

I voted for you in 2012. Needless to say, I feel even more disenfranchised by the current top two candidates of this election. I have researched Gary Johnson as I feel he was a good governor when I lived in New Mexico. However, I take issue with some of the libertarian platform.

My concern and question on your beliefs are in the areas of the immigration issue. I do agree that we need to secure our borders. However, I also firmly believe as a Christian that we have an imperative as believers and as a nation to act in compassion to help those in the world who need it; and I believe that imperative DOES NOT end at our borders. Also, I believe that there are significant numbers of immigrants currently in the U.S. who, while here illegally, are honest, hard-working people who are simply trying to feed and care for their families. To not care for the less fortunate is un-Christian, in my opinion. Can you tell me two things: How would your administration secure our borders yet remain compassionate, and how would your administration handle otherwise law-abiding illegal immigrants currently living in the U.S.?

Thank You,

John XXXXX

My reply:

Hello, John.

Sorry it took me a couple of days to reply, but it's getting crazy busy here, and ever since I first read your question I knew that it deserved a thoughtful, full response.

Americans have generally treated immigrants, legal or illegal, very well. I've seen this with my own eyes. The Christian ethic, the fellow feeling for others spoken of by men like John Locke, is not yet completely dead in our country, contrary to what some people think.

And in the legal sense, our Constitution, in the Fourteenth Amendment, specifically protects all persons, which includes non-citizens, legal or not, in their lives, their liberty, and their property.

But the Fourteenth Amendment also makes the necessary distinction between the required protection by the states of the God-given rights of all  persons and the privileges and immunities of citizens.

Let me put it this way: All citizens are persons, but not all persons are citizens.

If we do not maintain this distinction of citizenship, we are basically no longer a sovereign nation.

Open borders and unlimited immigration would be like you opening your home without limit to all house guests, or even to all burglars, in effect saying that anyone who wants to can be a part of your family, that they can live with you, and fully access and enjoy all of your resources.

Does God require such largesse of you? I don't believe that He does.

Let's not forget that it was God Himself who separated and created the nations. And God requires of us that we take care of those of our own household. If my memory serves, the scripture says that those who do not care for their own are "worse than an unbeliever."

The fact is, if your compassion knows no limits, your resources will not last very long at all, and the whole crowd will once again be out on the street. Only then it will be you and your household out on the street with them. And then you will no longer be of much use or assistance to anyone who is in need.

Another necessary distinction that I would make is the difference between the private citizen and the president. The individual should have compassion on other people, even if they are not here legally. In fact, the scripture requires that of us, and condemns societies (like Sodom) who mistreat "the stranger."

But the president has sworn before God to put his personal feelings aside, and to enforce all constitutional laws, in the interest of the whole body of the people, not just the interests of any one person or group of people.

Our Constitution absolutely requires our federal government - a government administered by the president, who is the chief executive, the chief magistrate, the commander-in-chief - to secure the states against invasion.

So, as the person charged with doing that, I would use whatever force was available to me to carry out that charge.

The same Constitution grants exclusive authority to Congress to set our naturalization laws. So, my sworn duty would be to carry out those laws.

In summation, we should in no way mistreat anyone, no matter how they got here. But those who are here illegally must go home to their own countries. If they want to come here and be part of the American family, they must first obtain our consent in the matter.

Thank you very much for your support previously, and I hope that my words and actions will merit that support in the days ahead.

Respectfully,

Tom Hoefling

"I will vote for Tom Hoefling because I am done being part of the problem. I am done comparing lies, justifying wrongs, and crossing my fingers that the lessor evil will bring good results. Time to be honest, Christians. No more proclaiming faith in God while supporting corruption and participating in an ungodly structure of state. No more exceptions, no more excuses, no more justifications. No man made law or politician can save our nation, only God will through the gospel using real men with real values and the members of His body, the church."

'Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain.'

Tom Hoefling on Government:

"Just as 'good fences make for good neighbors,' good government is mainly about knowing where the legitimate boundaries are, and having the courage to defend those borders forcefully.
