Tom Hoefling America's Party 2016 presidential nomination acceptance speech, delivered August 27th, 2016

Thank you all very much.

I am deeply honored and grateful to receive the presidential nomination of America’s Party once again, mainly because I believe that America’s Party people are the best people in America. You are truly the salt of the earth. One of the greatest blessings of my life has been my association with you all.

America’s Party represents a new hope for the restoration of the American republic, this great free constitutional republic which was gifted to us by the grace of Almighty God, and by the wisdom, commitment, and self-sacrifice of our forebears.

Those brave forebears laid their lives and their fortunes on the line for life and liberty, and refused to, in groveling fear, sacrifice their sacred honor, or the future of their children, on the altar of any earthly king or tyrant.

May all of us in this party continue to strive to follow their example.

My friends, you are a part of something unique, and very special, and essential. America’s Party represents a new hope for a renewed sense of our obligations as a people to God, to self-evident truth, to moral principle, and to duties of the oath of public office, at all levels of government, and in every branch of government.

America’s Party represents a new hope for our children and grandchildren, that they too might have the chance we had to enjoy the Blessings of Liberty that we have enjoyed throughout our lives.

I truly believe that America’s Party - or rather the principles and the people that it represents - provides the only real political hope for the American republic, and for our Posterity.

We live in a time when a real sense of national decay, of moral degradation, and even of fear and despair, has gripped many hearts all across this land. There is a consensus developing in the country that the existing political parties, the political elites who are now in power, have betrayed us.

An ever-increasing number of our fellow citizens are coming to understand that this betrayal, is, before anything else, a betrayal of the One Who created us, a betrayal of the self-evident truths of our national founding, a betrayal of our national principles which are deeply grounded in the laws of nature and nature’s God, and a heinous betrayal of our Constitution, which is still, to this hour, the supreme law of our land.

More and more Americans are realizing that, to have any real hope for the future, we must humbly return, with a repentant heart, both individually and as a people, to our historic faith in the God of the Bible.

More and more Americans are realizing that we must return to our understanding that both God and our Constitution absolutely require equal protection for the unalienable rights of all persons, including the rights of those helpless, defenseless, innocent persons who are as yet unborn.

They are remembering that government, in fact, exists, before anything else, to protect our rights.

Do not despise the day of small things! We are standing on the side of the truth! We are standing on the side of moral right! We are standing on the side of God and nature!

Those who are fighting God and nature in this country, who ignore the simple child-like understanding of simple right and wrong, and who continue to ignore our Constitution’s stated purposes and requirements, may appear strong, But they are not. They are weak. They cannot succeed, not over the long haul. They may prevail for a short time, but the end of their chosen path is, inevitably, destruction.

America, stop following them!

No matter how it may temporarily look to worldly eyes, do not believe that we are weak! Don’t believe it for a moment! We are not! We are strong beyond compare. Why? Because, like the generations of Americans who came before us, we have faith. Because we, like them, hold to self-evident truth. Because, unlike those who continue to abjectly follow the godless “lesser-of-evils,” lowest-common-denominator, political philosophy of the Democrat and the Republican parties, we are on the side of simple right, and on the side of the God-given rights of the people, and on the side of the Constitution.

Yes, we are offering America a return to principle, which is essential. But that’s not all we are offering. We are also offering the practical means for putting our nation back on the right path.

We are offering a restoration of our political process, which has also been co-opted, and corrupted, in our day. We are showing the American people exactly how to take our politics back from the money interests, back from the corporate media, and to restore government of the people, by the people, and for the people, not just in nice political rhetoric, but in actual fact.

America, it’s time to abandon the corrupt existing parties. Throw them on the ash heap of history, where they belong.

Join us in stopping the abortion holocaust in this country, before the judgment of God falls our our heads.

Join us in protecting marriage and the natural family, the way God created, defined, and instituted it.

Join us in protecting our right to keep and bear arms.

Join us in securing our national sovereignty, our national security, and our national borders.

Join us in putting government back inside the constitutional box where it belongs.

Join us in restoring respect in government for the Enumerated Powers of our Constitution.

Join us in replacing the federal income tax with a fair and simple alternative that doesn’t destroy our liberty and our chance at material prosperity.

Join us in restoring our monetary system, in ending the Federal Reserve, and in taking the power over our money back into our own hands.

Join us in restoring parental rights and True Local Control of our schools.

And, last but certainly not least, join us in restoring checks and balances in government. Help us restrain these judges who wrongly believe they are our rulers, who ignore the laws of God, the laws of nature, and the explicit, imperative requirements of the Constitution they swore to uphold.

If you truly care about restoring moral, constitutional, representative self-government, I ask you for your vote on November 8th. If you don’t see my name on your ballot, shock the political world by writing it in.

If I truly represent you and what you believe, don’t be bullied into voting for someone who does not represent you.

Again, our forefathers fought, and sacrificed, and bled, and some even died, to give you the precious gift of representative self-government. Stop letting them swindle you, and your posterity, out of that precious gift.

Thank you, and may God bless America, as we once again bless Him.

That was an awesome speech. We were "amen-ing" and nodding. Thanks, Tom.

Very good speech. Would have been great if he had called for the end of the Department of Education.

I live in California. While looking over the November ballot for this year, I noticed that next to Trump's name is the usual party name, "Republican". And then a comma, followed by "American Independent". Does this mean that both parties have combined? Tom was formerly with American Independent so I was going to vote for him under that, since I am registered as American Independent which was the former party he was with. Now I see that Tom is with "America's Party" and he does not appear on the CA ballot at all. A very unpleasant turn of affairs. I am still going to write his name on the ballot regardless of what anybody thinks. What's going on with California?

Mary, the decision of the CA AIP was rather unpleasant for all of us.

But, we will be filing as a recognized write in candidate.

If you would like to be one of our 55 electors, please send a note to [email protected], and someone will contact you.

Thanks for your support!

Tom

'Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain.'

Tom Hoefling on Government:

"Just as 'good fences make for good neighbors,' good government is mainly about knowing where the legitimate boundaries are, and having the courage to defend those borders forcefully. This is true in terms of the defense of our territory, our security, and our national sovereignty, but it also applies to the sworn duty of all of those in government to equally protect the God-given, unalienable rights of each individual person, from their creation onward, their sacred obligation to stay well within the enumerated powers of our constitutions, and of the role legitimate government must play in balancing the competing rights and interests of the people, in order to establish justice."
