Unless consciously, actively resisted by We the People, and by our leaders, the democratic forms of our republican form of government inevitably breed cults of personality. And cults breed their own particular, peculiar, self-destructive culture.
So, ask yourself, will the cult of Trump, or the cult of Clinton, produce a culture that will address ANY of the true ailments of our republic?
I don't believe that any decent thinking person - anyone who actually understands the moral, constitutional, and legal basis of our republican form of self-government, and how we as a nation have departed from that basis - can honestly answer "yes" to that question.
Speaking for myself as a candidate for president, I desire no such excessive admiration, or exaltation, or misplaced loyalty whatsoever. Not at all. I want a national majority to be drawn to this campaign by the principles and public policies I represent, and by the practical vision I have for implementing those principles and policies in the executive branch of government. No more, no less.
Seriously, I'm not that great. God knows I'm a deeply-flawed individual.
But, I do possess the only real keys that exist for saving the republic, and for, ultimately, securing the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.
And it's quite obvious to me that none of the other candidates possess those crucial keys. They quite obviously don't even know, or care, that such simple keys actually exist, much less possess the ability then to pick them up, put them in the lock, turn the key, and open the door back to just, decent, effective, efficient, responsible, constitutional American self-governance in liberty.
